Pecan brings you our 2024 Christmas Campaign - Your Gifts of Kindness, Belief and Hope go much further than Christmas – Pecan are here all year-round providing help to people in crisis and working together to tackle the issues people are facing that brought them to crisis point.

Our Aim: Supporting those who access our service to enjoy Christmas with dignity and hope: Lessening the financial worry this time of year can bring. Ensuring Pecan can continue to provide Kindness, Belief and Hope well into 2025. 

• We believe every family should be able to enjoy the festive period without the added financial worry: our campaign aims to raise enough money to buy 100 families £50 vouchers and 50 families £25 vouchers that they can spend in the best way for them: Christmas food, presents, school uniforms, essential toiletries – whatever they choose. 

•   Southwark Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to people who have reached crisis point. Pecan provides a variety of other services to prevent people from reaching crisis. We provide income maximisation support, Employment Support, gender specific support to women, community activities and much more to tackle the nuanced issues that create poverty and crisis. 

Your Donations 

By donating to Pecan, you help us to provide year-round support to our community through consistent and quality services. 

The money raised will support us with the following:  

• £25-£50 will help us reach the goal of providing 100 families with a £50 voucher and 50 families with a £25 voucher.
• £15 could provide an emergency food parcel with enough food for 3 days.
• £30 could enable someone to benefit from a one-to-one employment preparation session, supporting them out of poverty through earning an income.
• £40 could help a woman receive one-to-one support from one of our Advocates, enabling her to address her needs.
• £55 could run a café session in Together, supporting those who are lonely and socially isolated to better mental wellbeing.
• £100 could stock our Pantry shelves with healthy, nutritious, culturally appropriate food.
